Does anyone have 4 tickets to the 9/4 game against New York and would rather watch college football and doesn't know anyone else that would want to go to Wrigley that day? A friend of mine is going to be in town and wants to take his kids to the game. He can buy face value seats or he can play the scalper game, but if any of you have 4 tickets you'd part with, let me know so I can help him.

1)  Wished you had asked me a week ago, as I just unloaded mine for face to a co-worker.

2) The secondary market may turn out to be a buyer's market anyway if your friend's savvy enough to head down and buy on the street.  These assholes suck so bad that I imagine they're putting the hurt on street scalpers this time of year.

I just learned he was coming into town. I've heard even the licensed brokers are selling good seats for a song.

Sounds like a job for SKO.

"CHICAGO (AP)—The Chicago Cubs will honor the late broadcaster Harry Caray next month by rededicating his statue outside Wrigley Field.

The team said Thursday that a pregame ceremony is also planned for Sept. 1. Caray's wife, Dutchie Caray, and Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts are expected to be at the rededication"

Come on.  This is going to be big!

I have four for 9/4 that he can have.  Upper Deck Box, on the aisle.  Not sure off hand what the face is, but I'll give him a good deal (face or lower).

The statue has officially been moved as of this morning.  It actually looks pretty nice and well-placed by the bleacher entrance.

Apart from maybe the Saturday Cards game, anyone who pays anything remotely near face value simply doesn't understand supply and demand.

It's a buyer's market, people.  Take advantage of it!

Does anyone want two for the make up game today?  OF Terrace Box 206 row 5 along the 3rd base line.  Paid ~ $20 a piece for them.  Best offer would be great.  Gotta pick them up in Greektown (Jackson & Halsted).

I signed up for the season ticket waiting list in high school, like an idiot. My number just came up but I'm in California and in school. Anyone want my spot or know someone who does? The sales lady says the list is up to 100,000 now so I'll never get to razz Al from the good seats until I'm dead.
You two wanna go stick your wangs in a hornet's nest, it's a free country.  But how come I always gotta get sloppy seconds, huh?

My name came up last year and I passed. This year, my name came up again. In December, they said they had Field Box tickets as close as Section 135, four together for $21K for the season. They also had upper deck box seats, four together, in 419 (roughly behind the plate) for $17K. They do not offer nights and weekends or combo packages. If I felt a little more secure financially, I think I could put together a consortium of 3 other people and split the 4 in 135 for $5K, recouping some of my cost by scalping half of my tickets. However, I passed.

Last week I got a call. Tickets in Club box outfield (the Bartman seats and the seats where someone got Chad Kreuter's hat) and infield mysteriously opened up if I wanted something between 1st and 3rd.

They're hurting.

Good luck with that.

As long as you're willing to go to all the shitty April and September games that you can't give away on StubHub while selling off all the weekend summer games (particularly the Cardinals and any big interleague matchups) you'd be surprised at how close you come to re-couping  your investment for a shitty, 90-loss team*

*Or, if you want to take Sadsack Eli's word for it, a 120-loss team.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

My brother's bachelor party is in Las Vegas in a couple weeks, and as a result I bought a group of 20 tickets to the UNLV-NIU game at Sam Boyd Stadium, anticipating about 18 people going. The group has dwindled to 14, so I have 6 tickets in the third and fourth rows off the 20 yard line. Face is $20.
