I've seen enough Jeff Baker over three months of baseball to know I'd like to see him on the field pretty much every day at this point.    Statistically, from a fielding perspective (the part I wasn't sure about), he's pretty average as an IF.

Jeff's- .270/.326/.460/.786.

So perhaps you can see why one was clearly a complete and total aberration from his career numbers, while the other is perhaps just a continuing improvement? Even if Baker regresses to his career average of .786 that's still good for someone I called a super-utility platoon player. He's also got a career OPS of .914 vs lefthanders. He's a nice player to have in the role that he plays, whereas Neifi was clearly a dogshit hitter in the midst of the best hot streak of his career. Also, Baker's spent his career in the post-humidor era of Coors Field. While still a hitter's park, the numbers have dropped considerably from the glory days and are more in line with just about any hitter's park in the majors. Of which Wrigley is one. And lo and behold, Baker has a .819 OPS at Wrigley. His career OPS+ (which adjusts for park factors) is 96, so around average, while it's 108 with the Cubs. Above average, but still within reasonable range of his career.
