Was at Costco yesterday and saw a bunch of happy looking fuckers chowing down on the Costco pizza at the stand. Anyone had that stuff? Is it good? I saw that you can buy a whole pizza but a couple people had giant slices on plates and they looked kind of good.

Were they 400 lbs too?  Remember, fatties will eat anything.

Combined maybe. They weren't overly large. I think I was just really hungry. The tires in the automotive sections looked tasty, too.

Costco pizza is good. Not great, but a Yeti-sized slice for $2 is a solid deal.

It's aight. When you're finished with it, you'll feel stupid for eating it. But while you're eating it, you'll think, "PIZZA NYUMNYUMNYUMNYUM!!!11"

My "Poverty Lunch" is the Costco (1/4 lb) Polish & Soda for $1.50.

But the pizza is fairly solid.
Same deals are at Sam's Club, if it's more convenient.

Anyone try Burt's Place in Morton Grove?

No, afraid not.

Really good pizza. Strange place. It's located on Ferris, just north of Lincoln, a short walk from the Metra station. The place is a little quirky. Only open Wednesday through Saturday. You need to call ahead for your pizza or a table, if you're eating in. Like several hours ahead or days in advance. Once they have all the orders they care to take, they stop answering the phone. If you don't call ahead, they won't seat you.

If you know this in advance, it's worth it. He does a thinner-than-average deep dish and a thicker than average thin crust. Both are excellent. Worth a try.

I have a couple friends that were just telling me about this place.  They said some family came in trying to get seated and they were told to take a hike.  They couldn't remember the name of the place...just that it was in Morton Grove.  Thanks, Teej.  I gotta hit this place up soon.

Dined in for lunch this time. Nice thing about it, is if you have the presence of mind to plan your lunch ahead, you can show up at 12:30 and have a pizza waiting for you and your table, and get out of there by 1.

Have a small but respectable selection of beer and wines. Just Burt and Mrs. Burt work there. No sign of Jim Burt, however (sorry, Fork).

Burt actually owned Pequod's and Gulliver's years ago, I learned today. Anyway, Huey, I highly recommend.

For cheap greasy pizza, it's tough to beat costco's price. And their endless tub of soda.

Do not fuck with Peoria pizza strip proprietors.

QuoteDemario Scott, 25, of 1107 W. Wilcox Ave. entered Agatucci's, 2607 N. University St., about 10:15 p.m. with a gun and demanded the owners empty their safe, police said.

Tony, Dan and Jim Agatucci all pulled out their own guns and Dan yelled at the suspect to freeze, said Dan Agatucci on Sunday night.

Scott panicked and ran out of the restaurant.

The Agatuccis chased Scott west on West Gift Avenue and fired several shots, according to police. Police are investigating whether any of the Agatuccis fired at the suspect or just into the air.

TPex said that she and her film crew (camera chick, sound dude) went to a pizza joint in Cambodia and on the menu there were little happy faces next to certain items. One happy face, two happy faces, three etc... They asked the waitress what that was all about and it had to do with the strength of the marijuana buds they'd put on your pizza. They ordered the No. 1 and sure enough. Buds on the pizza, cooked right in. They said they devoured the whole thing and ended up stoned to the bone off it.

I'll see if I can get a picture and post it here.
