Some of the names sound familiar, but I'm not motivated to look them up on IMDB, so real quickly, I've also seen:

Legend of Buck Howard - Malkovich playing a version of The Amazing Kreskin, first time I ever saw Colin Hanks (unnerving how much he looks like his dad).
October Sky - Jake Thyllenhaal playing some science geek who grows up to become a NASA geek.
One Fine Day - Clooney/Pfieffer romantic
Resurrecting the Champ - Sam Jackson plays old boxer who's now homeless, gets help from Josh Hartnett

Buck Howard was entertaining, and I can half-heartedly recommend it, but there's not one of those movies really needs to be seen at all.

I wouldn't argue with anyone who said that Resurrecting the Champ was a complete pile of horseshit.

No one's seen The Tao of Steve?  Really?

I liked that movie.  Saw it at the Century on Clark with my then-girlfriend.  Maybe a little unrealistic that that fatso who's missing the "D" on the end of his name and who also has dual Irish/American citizenship and who was also on that TV show with that guy who played his brother "Eddie", gets high all day and does nothing else but substitute teach could charm his way into the arms of a cute chick, but I enjoyed the movie nonetheless.  Did you like it, JD?

Did he substitute teach? I thought he taught kindergarten part-time. 

I liked it alright.  I wouldn't say I loved it.  I wish it would've been a little edgier.  Like, more knife fights, or something?  Think I'm wrong?  Picture that movie the way it is.  Not bad.  Now imagine it with a couple stabbings and maybe a knife-wielding threatening pose.  It's better, ain't it?  You don't hafta answer.  I can see you smilin' just ponderin' it.
