So long, my good friend. Another fine outing this evening. If this were Wrigley you'd be getting a standing ovation. Rest assured, you're getting one none the less.

He'll get one next time he pitches at Wrigley and more than likely while he's mowing down hapless Cub hitters. It'll be so Mark DeRosa.

Closing line from today's Chicago Sun-Times story on Ted Lilly:

''He's not afraid of anything,'' the scout said. ''The guy's got huge balls.''

Yesterday Mrs. IAN told me while watching the game:  "Who's that guy?  He looks scary.  Like a serial killer."  Laughed.  Outly.  Louded.

Fair warning: If Antti Niemi wins his arbitration hearing tomorrow, this thread will be hijacked for the Hawks' new goalie shortly thereafter.

You're spelling Turco wrong.
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

What's his injury status?  Some sort of forearm thing?  Can't seem to find clear details.

He came off the DL last weekend.

He was back (uninjured) for a while, but was in the minors because he was struggling with his command a bit.

The Cubs should turn around and trade Happ for prospects.
