So from my limited googlings of B. Lake Dewitt, it looks like he's much younger and cheaper than Theriot, but doesn't have a lot more power and isn't great defensively. In short, meh. Any reason why I should change my mind?

The only reason I can think of that you would change your mind is that you're nothing but a fickle mush-head.

It's possible that he doesn't run the bases with his helmet put on backwards, which makes him a step up.

Also -- he may be too tall to act a a stand-in for Frodo Baggins.

He has the possibility of being a capable, cheap second baseman for a few years.  It's not all that exciting, but above-mediocre players who make league minimum are useful.  Considering what the returns were for Oswalt and Haren, Hendry did all right here.

He's from Sikeston, MO, home of Lambert's Cafe.  It's got throwed rolls, y'all.  It's freakin' awesome.  I've eaten there on numerous occasions.

Dewitt doesn't seem like anything special really...

except for the fact that he gets PAID to play BASEBALL!  Come ON!  That's pretty cool!

Nothin' odd about eating at such a fine establishment.  I've also eaten at the one in Gulf Shores.  It's not as good.  Probably because it's being served by Alabama people.

I've been to that one, too.  Those Alabama tards throw like Theriots.

Anybody know what a Brett Wallach or Kyle Smit is?  I'm meh on Blake DeWitt.  He seems like a younger Theriot,  but he's not actually Theriot, so I don't mind.  :MikeFontenotSadFace:

He doesn't suck at baseball.

Therefore, he's not a Theriot of any age.

Alright, I've changed my mushmind. Dewitt is not Theriot and he's hitting .750. So, huzzah!

Wallach might have a shot.  Smit is ... I'll let someone else finish that thought.
