Illinois is two wins away from bowl eligibility.  Yay.

Representatives from the Texas Bowl were at the homecoming game against Indiana, evidently.

With a somewhat soft schedule to finish up, I could see the Fighting Illini completing the season with 7 wins.

As long as they have the coordinators do the actual coaching and game planning, leaving Zook to recruiting duties only, Illinois could be pretty good.

Indeed. I want that great feeling like after the Ohio State win. You remember that, right? Where Zook was hugging Juice and all was great. Zook was telling him, "See, I told you we could do this." Shit, I got goosebumps.

They could lose to Purdue. Probably.

Fail.

Leave me alone.

So I received my tickets to the Wrigley Field NU/Illinois game today.  Quick Wrigley question - are the bleachers numbered?

Still not happy with losing to Pex's Boilers, but at least I can take comfort in the annual Ioa upset.

Just wondering if Illinois had any timeouts at the beginning of Minnesota's final drive and, if so, how many?

I'll go do stuff and wait for my answer.  Thanks.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

I'm curious whether Chuck To Chuck was in attendance for the late-game heroics.

Illinois could very well lose to the Cats in the Ricketts Bowl next week and have their once-presumed Bowl eligibility riding on that trip to Fresno St. That will be no cakewalk, octaroons. I guess people are happy with Zook though still? Even after today's tardfest, he should keep his jorb as the all-world recruiter and let those other dipshits manage the team? Fuck it, it works for me.

Not that it would have mattered, after those clown shoes were in the midst of blowing a 10 point lead to those goofs from Minnesota, but why wouldn't you at least start burning them after the 45 yard run made it first-and-goal at the 5 with, what, 1:11 to play?  At least buy yourself a last chance instead of just standing there like a dope as it alll crumbles around you.

The Ricketts Bowl doesn't involve Todd and a toilet? Why I never.

Coaching isn't really his thing. He's more into the whole recruiting of awesome players aspect. Just look at all the talent on that roster. It didn't fall from a tree. Nosir.

I saw Aureilous (sp.?) Benn make a nice TD catch for some NFL team last week.

Is the announcement of Dan Persa out for the season with an achilles injury a big deal?

I think he actually did fall from a tree. Only him though.
