Also, the best part about the Seahawks/Saints game being on NBC was that it featured Mike Mayock as an analyst. I love that man. Whether it's during the draft, during his Playbook show on NFL Network, or in games (he does Notre Dame games during the season), he's easily the most intelligent analyst out there.

The NFC field is stronger this year. The 2008 Cardinals got past a rookie quarterback, The Human Turnover Jake Delhomme, and got into an NFC Championship game against Donovan McNabb, which is like an automatic ticket to the Superbowl. Plus Kurt Warner was hot all year and had a plethora of awesome receivers that could challenge any NFL secondary, while the Seahawk's offensive explosion against New Orleans was entirely unprecedented and unlikely to be repeated.

But this ignores that the Bears have just been lucky and that Cutler only tosses interceptions and almost interceptions.

None of it matters if the Bears don't show up, but I would think a home game against anybody would be preferred, no?
