So who is hoping for Bears-Packers NFC Title Game at Soldier or who is hoping for Green Bay departing the playoffs as soon as possible, consequences be damned?

None of it matters if the Bears don't show up, but I would think a home game against anybody would be preferred, no?

Yes, thank you for reminding me that the Bears must play well. I had blanked on that one.

It's okay.  I understand how discombobulated with fear Aaron Rodgers makes you.

It's not Aaron Rodgers I fear. The Bears have generally held him in check since he arrived. I just don't like the Bears offensive line vs. the Packers' pass rush and I think the Bears matchup pretty well against the Falcons. Most of Ryan's success comes off of play action, and I trust the Bears defense to stop Turner and make it a tough day for him. I'm not wetting my pants at the prospect of facing Green Bay again, but I would rather face Atlanta I think.

I also have a totally unverified suspicion that the Bears are built to play better indoors with their speed.

Someone tell me why this 2008-2009 Cardinals vibe I'm getting from the Seahawks is just silly.

The Cardinals had TEC in their corner.  The Seahawks have...

That too. I think if the Bears play in Atlanta, shut down Turner, and force Ryan to throw while Peppers and Idonijie are coming at him on turf I think they'll do very well.

I'm already scared shitless of Seattke. It's the playoffs and I'm a fucking mess. Don't believe the smack I run all day long on the bookface. I need drugs and therapy in large doses to get me through this.

Plus, well, fuck Green Bay and all that shit, but doesn't anyone else want revenge for the two extremely painful losses to Atlanta in 2008 and 2009? The stupid fucking squib kick in '08 and then Orlando Pace false-starting to knock them out of a 3rd and inches to a 3rd and 5 that they failed to convert when they were like 11 yards away from the tying score?

Well, even with Bear goggles fully on, I saw that one coming. The second one sears my soul to this very day, however.

I'd forgotten the Bears ever had a lead in the second half.  It was hard to see through the haze of suck hanging over the stadium.

While I'm not promising a Superbowl run, I can see it happening with this team because their defense is great and they have a talented offense that can be dangerous enough to win games even if they aren't a consistent yardage-churning machine. In 2006 and 2005 I thought the field was weak and the Bears had enough talent on defense and with Thomas Jones/Cedric Benson to hide Grossman's deficiencies. In 2001? I could never even remotely shake the feeling that that team was a fluke and their offense would be completely punchless in the playoffs. And it was. Plus, Greg Blache's "sacks aren't important" defense wasn't the aggressive style that usually wins out in the postseason.
