Fire Bruce?

Yes. But, before that happens, Illinois would have to fire Ron Guenther (The Athletic Director) first. He won't fire Weber.

Thanks for explaining who Ron Guenther is.  Who is this "Weber" though?

Bruce Weber. Coach of Illinois.

(if you thought it was spelled with two bs, you are incorrect)

Like the grill.  Got it.

I-L-L!

They suck.

JaJa is good though. Have they published a story in the Purdue newsletter about why his name is spelled so retardedly?

Chad?

Upon further review it looks like I'm the retard. For some reason I was thinking it was spelled JaJaun. JaJuan isn't so bad. It's got a certain zing to it.

If it's pronounced wuh-wawn, I approve.

It's wa-HAWN Yawnson. And he just dunked on your favorite team from the freethrow line again. Nerds. You know you're slow when this guy is crossing you over and throwing it down on you. I haven't even seen him try that move in four years and when he started it, I was like, "No." about 20 seconds later he slammed it and I had to press rewind about three times. Didn't need slow-mo though. That was a bonus.

I think he'll be a serviceable guy off the bench at the next level. Whoever takes him is going to be my favorite team, I've decided. Unless it's the Lakers. Cuz that's just geigh.

Was just reading this..

JaJuan Johnson, 6-10 senior center, Purdue
Some people really like him, but I just don't know how he gets his game off. I don't think his post game will transfer, so you're looking at a 6-10 jump shooter who will have a hard time guarding any positions in our league. He strikes me as a combination of Marcus Camby and Hakim Warrick. I'd say he's on the bubble for the first round. I think he makes the league, but he won't get a lot of scratch.

I kind of agree with all of that but if he's a combination of Camby and Warrick, doesn't that mean he could actually defend pretty well? And I have no idea what Warrick does from the perimeter but Camby couldn't shoot from outside two feet, let alone 20. That's just doesn't make one bit of sense.

Camby just plays inside and Warrick plays mostly from the perimeter, a bit of a tweener who only really flourishes when everyone else is bad.

So I assume a combo of the two would pretty much just shoot from about 10 feet out.

Sounds kind of Phil Rogerish. Because Johnson is good from 20 feet. If he can get stronger and defend the 4, there are about 40 NBA teams that could find a roster spot for him.

16 teams in the D-League, each with 11 roster spaces.
So yeah, he could probably find a spot.

You probably would have rushed the court, but you've never been inside the arena.

BURN! I have been inside the arena. It was nearly empty. I rushed the court though, just to see what it felt like. It felt dumb.

I have a full-on chub for the Boilers.  I think we can all agree that they're more or less shoo-ins for the National Championship now.

Also, it's wasn't that the starting lineup of last year's illini team?

This link claims otherwise. Says they never played together. I'm not sure the validity of that but nonetheless it's slightly humorous.
