Dunn done.  He's in Chicago now for as long as Soriano will be.  Albeit at $4 million less per year.

I'm glad you resisted the urge to say "It's a Dunn deal." I doubt others will do likewise.

The Cubbies lost because they didn't have enough white guys playing grabass in Dero's hotel room.

Quote"If you don't have that cohesiveness, the friendships among players, the camaraderie, guys in the clubhouse joking around, playing cards, going out to dinner, hanging out in each other's hotel rooms -- if you don't have that, you're not going to win," Theriot said. "In '07 and '08, we had it. We had a different cast of players. We had Kerry Wood, we had (Mark DeRosa), Scott Eyre, Jason Marquis ... You start to look at the character guys we had on that team ... that stuff gets forgotten about."

This guy is an absolute piece of shit. So he's saying the Cubs need more white guys?

Mark DeRosa's not white - he's a Guido.

Honestly, do you expect Theriot to be able to make that distinction? Have you seen him on the basepaths? He's like a Zippo lighter with no flint.

He's a great player with the head of a shitty player, and the body of...a shitty player.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

In the Tards' first game at Wrigley next season, I hope a piece of concrete falls from the upper deck and instantly kills anyone giving Theriot the slightest bit of applause, let alone a standing o.  Or maybe Todd can park a car at a slight angle on top of their skulls.
You two wanna go stick your wangs in a hornet's nest, it's a free country.  But how come I always gotta get sloppy seconds, huh?

This might not happen at all.  If Gonzalez can get to free agency he can have lots of teams to work off each other and get a deal above and beyond what Ryan Howard and Teixiera got.  Then again, the Red Sox just offered him $120 million and his signing arm is in a sling.  Him and his agent better hope he's actually going to get healthy.

By the way, the Cubs outfield is going to look like it has three in-his-prime Torii Hunter's in it compared to the Berkman-Rasmus-Holiday troika in St. Louis.  The Berkman signing would have been a great one, five years, 40 pounds and no drug testing ago.

Not that they were actually looking to sign him, but another big free agent is gone:
Jayson Werth. 7 years $126 million
