It was a 4-1 start. And what exactly is playoff-caliber in the NFC? The World Champs got pasted at home by Cleveland and Seattke holds a commanding lead out west. I guess the Falcons are the big dick now? Nothing is fucked here dude. It's not exactly fun to watch, this new NFL where every team is mortal as dick and anybody can back into the playoffs at 9-7 and contest the Super Bowl down to the final play. But it's something something and at least all the players are not on PED's.

Especially after this last weekend I've realized I hate this NFL. Parity? Fuck that. I like knowing who's good and who sucks. I don't want to live in a world where Oakland beats Denver at Denver by 75 points. And I don't even like Denver.

My survivor picks don't like this world either.  But at least I went down going with a crash and burn for the ages, instead of enduring the agony of Cincy fumbling a kickoff with 1:15 left and the game tied like last year.

THIS. My reasons are just because I'm in it to win it in my football pool. $500+ goes to the year-end winner and I was second, behind first by 3 points after last week. I got a total of 53 points this week, with 7 to be decided tonight. FM Betting L.

How many points do you have on the season?

Through week 6: 475. I had a nice week 6 @ 86 points. Vaulted me from 8th to 2nd. If the Bears hadn't been gutless fucks against Seattle, I would have had an extra 13 points. That's the last time I make them a "sure thing".

Can I play in your pool? I'd like $500.

Next year, sure. They don't care who plays. $2/week. $1 goes towards weekly (which is a payout of around $50) and the other dollar goes towards the yearly. How many points do you have so far, stud?

Orton was terrible in the first half yesterday. His first pass was a pick 6. And we've known for a long time that he is simply not that great at football. It took me about 8 years to reach that conclusion. So, forgive the columnist for waiting until now to recognize the folly of counting on him for anything more than caretaking of an offense hat needs Jesus to help overcome the lack of talent on that entire roster. Ol' Josh got rid of all those clubhouse cancers and surrounded himself with "winners." Such a fucking tool. He's the professional equivalent of every high school coach you've ever hated.
