SKO hates Cheap Trick? Does he hate America, too?

Cheap Trick sucks. Piece is a fine pizza place, though.

Damn it Slak. You were our last best hope in combatting the rising tide of SKOism.

Wait, Slak hates Cheap Trick? I'm unrepentant then. As soon as I listen to more than just "Surrender" and "I Want You to Want Me," I will categorically state that they suck as a band.

I guess I don't hate them but I'd never listen to them on purpose.

It's good enough for me. The man that hates me, hates Slaky. I dare any of you sonsofbitches to step forward and say aye to that.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

Not only do I like Cheap Trick, but Budokan is easily one of the 20 greatest live albums ever.

Suck on it, SKO.

Slak hates every band that more than 15 people listen to.

Come on now, I can name a ton of popular bands I like.

Also, I don't hate Cheap Trick. They suck though.

Slak will morph into the Orgasmatron 3000 cyborg the minute there's an all-Cheap Trick episode of "Glee".

I can dig those...except the fucking Frampton.  Get the fuck out of here with that shit.

Adding...in no particular order off the top of my head.

Wilco - Kicking Television
Depeche Mode - 101
Zeppelin - How the West Was Won
Curtis Mayfield - Curtis/Live!
Oingo Boingo - Farewell
Frank Zappa - Fillmore '68 (with the awesome Humble Pie story -- I think it was Humble Pie)
Ministry - In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up
The Roots - Alive
Grateful Dead - Dick's Picks Volumes 1-36, not including volumes 12 and 29, which suck

Yeah...maybe top 10.  Maybe top 5 is you leave the live compilations, like 101 and Alive.

edit:

I forgot The Band's Last Waltz and Dylan's Before the Flood, which was with The Band.

That's when he was still Humble Pie Frampton. He didn't turn to shit until "I'm In You".

I wanted to clarify a position that doesn't need clarifying - I don't think people that like Cheap Trick are lame. I don't listen to them. Maybe they don't suck but that's just something I say to be cool.

Here's a line I'd like to draw: there's a major difference in actively hating a band (Kings of Leon, Vampire Weekend, anything Weebs likes) and just not caring about them much. If someone told me they listened to Cheap Trick I would think that's nice. He likes Cheap Trick. Good for him. If someone told me they think that Heidi Montag's album is a pinnacle of human achievement, I am full-body hating that person and wishing vile things upon their person.

That's just something I wanted to lay out there. Hopefully it's had little to no impact on your lives.

Cheap Trick is decent power pop. Not up to the Raspberries or Jellyfish's standards.

But the Budokan album caught them hitting on all cylinders. I've seen them live, and nothing they did in person approached what was captured on that album.
