This is all Greek to me.  If you're trying to convince me that, once it's been heated, you can't taste Sauternes in food, then I'm going to go all CHEMISTRY MEATBALL ABOUT THIS, MY FRENT.  I don't believe it.

Don't burst a foo-foo valve, cobber.

Wheezer, are you capable of making it to the South Loop tomorrow to join us for lunch?
Or is your N.J. Cugnot in for service?

Because this conversation really should take place in person.

The odds of my being able to maintain some sort of composure at a meat festival at that hour are quite poor.

Your expectations as to the quality of interaction are way overblown.

My grasp of my freakout potential, however, is spot-on.

Hey - not going to be able to make Skrinechops after all. I'll be home tending to my sick wife (GDM) who learned the hard way that she's allergic to penicillin. She should be fine but just a bit of a rough day here. Blech.

Anyway Tonk - glad we got to hang out a couple times and I'm looking forward to the Westvleteren.

Ouch. I've been there.

On the plus side, that did prove to be my ticket to dramatic weight loss.

Well, it was a penicillin reaction on top of the flu, which was itself the proximate cause of the secondary inner ear infection that had required the penicillin prescription in the first place.

It's tough to tease out which of the above was the worst part, but I dropped over 10 pounds inside of a week.

This was swelling and nearly a tracheal catastrophe. Let's just say it's a good thing we were at a doctor's office when this occurred.

You had to stay home tending to your sick husband?

And, although I don't have a sick wife to whom to tend (GDM), I am also a negative on Skrine this morning.  I am up in Vernon Hills until 11 and then I head back to the city.

Has anyone suggested any kind of fringe gonna drinking tonight?

Well, I look forward to getting to Skrine around 11:45... And the answer to the the Doug Foie problem is, like most things, Sauterne jelly.
