Pen's beloved O Dawg is a pretty bad #3 hitter.

Byrd and Soto have been bad, and Pena and Colvin have been awful. But...one game out of first, dogdens.

Yes, RBI is a flawed stat, but considering how often Castro and Barney have gotten on base in front of Byrd, I've got no beef with using it here.

His BABIP with runners in scoring position is .176 (with 3 RBI in 21 plate appearances).

Season BABIP: .333 (71 PA).

Career BABIP: 325 (3670 PA).

Career BABIP with RISP: .317 (327 RBI in 961 PA).

He is not swinging the bat well. I would bet there is something wrong with his hand or wrist. Stay tuned.

Dude's been in a brutal slump for a week and is still batting .275 for the year.

I do question batting him third, though.  I don't know why MY KWADE doesn't just put Pancakes #3 and bat Pena in the cleanup spot, put Byrd or Soriano 5th or 6th etc., but there's really no need to pile on the guy when he's just in a bad stretch.  At least not yet.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

I'd rather bitch about Pena but to bitch about a guy who hit .196 last year would just prove that HE'S FUCKING UP MY FANTASY TEAM.

Looks like I got served. I guess my overall beef is more like Huey's, why bat a guy with a career 99 OPS+ third? Pancakes-Pena-Soto-Soriano-Byrd 3rd to 7th in 2011.

Shoulda gone with "3 to 7 in aught 11!"
