T-minus 96 hours until the trade deadline, and the White Sox, Cardinals and Blue Jays made the first big move. Of note was that the Cardinals just got themselves the perfect complement to Ryan Theriot. If only Will Ohman could have been involved in that trade and sent across the Mississippi.

I left out Jonny Gomes as well. Still waiting to see the reaction at ivychat.blogspot.com to Korey become a Kardinal.

Rosenthal and CBS Sports both say Kosuke to Cleveland is almost done.

Looking at Abreu & Smith's numbers, the Cubs' farm system actually got worse.

I disagree.  By moving Colvin back up to the Cubs the farm system got better.

Is calling Colvin up the corresponding move or are they going to call up Jackson?

QuoteThe Pirates inquired on Carlos Pena but sensed the Cubs weren't motivated to trade him, tweets SI's Jon Heyman.

Unless this was a ploy to get more for him, WTF?

TPD.  Does no one want him or something?  What are they doing?

Just accept the truth.  The people running this franchise are even stupider than we are.
