Well, it sounds like the State's case against Jerry Sandusky might actually be going better than we all expected.

Did anyone other than BH really think Sandusky was going to go free on this?

Dan Bernstein?

He still may; it only takes one juror.

.... to turn this into a Federal Mann Act case that gets tried in Columbus Ohio.

....where he can have BH break him out of prison.

BH: "Come on, Jerry! Let's go! This way to freedom...what? No we can't stop to shower."

I'm still convinced one dumbass penn juror will say Jerry wasn't guilty of anything.

Did Capt. Oveur help Sandusky's legal team pick the jury?

This is reasonable. I'm not going to gloat and assume that this case is over like some dopey Lebron hater after Game 5 of the 2012 NBA Eastern Conference Finals.  I wouldn't be so quick to underestimate the cultish hive-mind of Penn State Nation, no matter how clear this case seems to us normals.

I like that you keep trying to get mileage out of that 1 NBA game you watched in the past decade.

I'd rather read a post by a guy who watched one and understood what happened than someone who watched 72 this year and didn't. Not namin' any names or nothin'.

I think a Penn State connection would make them more apt to string him up -- he sullied the name of JOEPA and PSU.

If their program doesn't get the death penalty, I can only hope they'll be the most hated team in all of college football for years to come. I would like to see how their people deal with the decline that's now inevitable on the field. May shit rain down on them all each and every Saturday in the fall.

This is what I kept (and keep) thinking, yet the only supporters seem to continue be the PSU folks.

As if Sandusky's possible exoneration would show how horribly unjust everyone treated PSU and Paterno.

Faith in humanity: restored...for now.

Not happily after after--lots of lives irreversibly and unnecessarily damaged here--but I'm at least glad the cult of PENN STATE FOOTBAW didn't win the day.  My only allowance for Sandusky would be if he, himself, was often diddled as a child but, lacking that, burn in hades, fucko.

Since PENN STATE FOOTBAW made grown men abdicate their responsibilities to protect innocent children, PENN STATE FOOTBAW should be taken away and, maybe, someday rebuilt as an institution that doesn't root for child rape, just for the novelty of it. Death penalty for three years, five scholarships in Year 4, adding more each year on a probationary basis. Death penalty becomes permanent if anything that could fit under a broad definition of "Paterno praise" is uttered by anyone at the program. Who's with me?

Or maybe just napalm the entire state. Nothing is off the table.
