The Falcons were starting two nubes at center and guard yesterday, which might explain why their line looked like the Bears line usually does. Let's be glad the Bears took advantage and remind ourselves that they won't all be this easy.

That may be so, but Tyson Clabo, Sam Baker, and Justin Blalock also got handled pretty well, and those three are very good players who were the primary reason the Falcons were so great in pass protection last year. If you wanna put an asterisk on this one, that's a pretty small one.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

The Falcons are the only team to have injuries in history.

Easy now. I'm not putting an asterisk on the D-Line's performance at all. I'm saying that they exploited a weakness. And I'm happy about that. I'm also saying that wasn't the same o-line that Atlanta won 13 games with last year and if they don't get it on time they're going to lose a lot more than just this one game. A shitty D-Line wouldn't have come through as well as the Bears did, but the sledding will get tougher.

It wasn't exactly the same, no, but the center they were missing has never been anything terribly special while Blalock and Clabo were there and are the stalwarts of the line and Sam Baker is a solid tackle that was a first round pick out of USC. Those three all got handled on multiple plays, not just the two guys who weren't starters last year. That's why I'm excited. If they can beat those three guys, there aren't going too be too many offensive lines that will fare well against them. The may not average five sacks a game, but they should give people fits all year long in a way that they didn't last year when a good performance from the pass rush generally depended solely on Julius Peppers.

I expect that TDubbs feels duly chastened after that game.

I expect that TDubbs doesn't know what "chastened" means.
