This game just makes me that much more grateful that the Bears won yesterday.  New Orleans, coming of a loss and a 10 day rest, for their home opener.  If the Bears win, I'll start sporting a Super Boner in September, which would only go flaccid if New Orleans turns out to suck.  In short, I can't see the Bears winning this game.

PROVE ME WRONG, BEARS.  PROVE ME WRONG.

New Orleans' defense and special teams are fucking wretched. This will be a good game. Bears 35, Aints 24.

How wretched is the Bears' D if Urlacher can't make it to the Superdome in time? Does it bother anyone else the Bears have a grand total of 1 win in the Superdome since Tony Eason was buried there?

But WHAT a win!

Edit:  The box score doesn't really do the game justice.  It wasn't really a great game.  It was actually a shitty game until the final drive.  Harbaugh was 5-22, but it seems he completed all 5 of his passes on the winning drive.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

Nice review here of key week 1 rookies, including Carimi. He did give up a sack and a pressure, but not bad for a rookie making his first start against Ray Edwards, especially since they dropped back 37 times.

That's a great review. Thanks for providing that link.

How do you like this thread title?

Have you checked out the morphlink?

And miss an opportunity to manifest his mystifying obsession with Sterling Archer?  I think not.

How meta has my obsession become? It's actually morphed into a Huardstickpoke opportunity that is too good to pass up. I know. I'm wierd. That's why the chinawomen always dump me.

My bad. I fixed it. It's also here http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/NFP-Week-1-rookie-report-card-1509.html .
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

It won't necessarily be pretty, but that defensive line would still be there to pressure Brees. Plus, that Saints defense is shit and I no longer just automatically count out the Bears during shootouts. We shall see. I trust that Urlacher will be back, horrible family problem or not, because he seems the type to pull a Favre through all the personal tragedy and whatnot.

That's the ticket.  I've still fond memories of when a 19 year old Huey was visited at his apartment by his old man who took him out to breakfast, and then proceeded to allow his 19 year old son to convince him to stick around for the Bears game, which they watched across the street from 19 year old Huey's apartment at the Stadium Club, a DeKalb bar that was off the beaten path and, consequently, one that a 19 year old Huey and his underage friends would drink at without getting carded.  Oh, the beer buzz my old man and I put on as we watched that glorious Bears comeback.  Good times, indeed.

I don't get this Huard fatalism. The Sean Payton-Breesus Saints have never BEATEN the Bears, not even the shitty 07-08 versions. Granted, those were also the shitty Payton-Breesus Saints teams, but given the way New Orleans offensive line and defense looked last week, I'm not exactly willing to punt this game away.
