The fact that the Genius said that his bullpen coach made the same mistake twice is awesome.

The fact that the Genius said that the first mistake came when he asked for Jason Motte, but instead the bullpen coach warmed up Marc Rzepczynski is so much better.

...because "Motte" and "Rzepczynski" are amazingly similar sounding. I could see how that would happen.

Eye Chart and "Jay Motte" might sound similar.

"I mean, he felt bad about it, but I said, 'Hey, it's my fault.' Maybe I slurred it, whatever it is," La Russa said. "It comes down to who has the responsibility when there's those kinds of miscommunications; it's mine."

Is Red Wine and fried chicken served in the Cardinals clubhouse?

This guy Miklasz finds a way of saying that the hiring of Epstein is really all about the Deadbirds.

What a maroon. The Epstein deal is clearly all about taking our town back from the White Sox and Bulls. And if we're not careful, the Republicans too.

That fat fuck made the list.  I hate St. Louis so much.

BURN THE WHOLE PLACE DOWN!!
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.

I went to bed thinking optimistically: there had to be a lot of free drinks at Mike Shannon's last night, and I'm sure cabs were hard to come by...

I so wanted that old, fat and shitty Darren Oliver to retire just ONE of those two slapdicks he faced in the 10th so that the Genius would have had to have sent up a pitcher to bat in earnest.  FUCK YOU DARREN OLIVER.

Yeah, my first reaction upon seeing him on the mound was: "That better be Darren Oliver, Jr.".
