Oh, they are going to suck alright. How long is that pick protected for?

For a long time. Top 12 in 2013, top 10 in 2014, top 8 in 2015, finally unprotected in 2016.

2016: Bonertime.

20 in a row for the Spurs. Damn they're good. How is Apex not here taking credit for the streak?

He is too busy fellating his beloved (for about 1.5 years) Heat

My original point was that they scare the shit out of me and will probably ruin everything. So I'm too busy sadsacking it up with every successive, convincing, ballcrushing win they put up. They've turned everybody's beloved Thunder into a high-scoring, yet clueless blob of 80s-era skinny guy in shortshortedness. It's fucking terrifying.

In the NBA the refs determine the outcome, so who knows how it will play out. Just like stern rigging the lottery.

If he didn't rig the lottery, the Bulls would be in it every year.

If Stern wanted to rig the lottery, it makes more sense for New Jersey to get the #1 pick, not the smallest market that no one cares about. I'm just happy the Bobcats didn't get it, we need them to suck to make our pick more valuable.

You're not looking deep enough into this, man.  Clearly the rigging of the draft to get New Orleans the No. 1 pick was a part of secret agreement to get Tom Benson to buy the team from the league.

"Everything" meaning the Heat championship you've been lusting after for a few months now?

A few? It's been more than 20. To be fair, I used to watch the Cavaliers in the playoffs sometimes and think it'd be really neat-o if they'd beat whoever the fuck. But I always figured he'd get his eventually and that time was on his side. That was another time though. Now that he's reached the advanced age of 27, which is like 27 in basketball years, I'm getting desperate.

Just to clarify....you're a LeBron fan but not necessarily a Heat fan, is this correct?

That is mostly accurate. I like other players on the team but if he somehow got traded, I'd stop rooting for the Heat. If he'd have signed with the Knicks, it would have been a easy decision to return there. If he signed with the Bulls or Lakers... eh... er... ah... I'm glad he didn't.

Can both things be true - that LeBron is the best basketball player alive (and possibly ever) AND he kinda sorta soils his skivvies at the end of games?

I do not think it can be. Not to sound Simmonsesq, but I think to be the classed as a 'greatest of an era/ GOAT' in basketball, winning championships and coming through at the end of big games is a requirement.  LeBron could well be the most talented basketball player alive and possibly ever, but not the best (which is one of the things that makes him so interesting to watch)
Andre Dawson paid his $1,000 fine for the Joe West incident with style. Dawson wrote ``Donation for the blind`` in the memo section of his personal check.

There have been plenty of incredibly talented guys who never won titles. When the most talented player also is the one who works the hardest & puts his stamp in big games (particularly in the late going), they get statues outside arenas.

Spoelstra is getting worked over by Doc Rivers in this series.
