Interestingly, however, Addison Russell's been .307/.400/.846 since being accused on Instagram of hitting his girlfriend. 

I wonder if he hasn't been playing worse because of the stress/pressure. Long term, that might still be an issue for him this year, but at least the news is now out, so he no longer has to worry about how people will react to things. (This is true even if his failing marriage was the only cause of his stress.)

I really do wonder if there's something to the whole "easing into the game" thing where pitchers maybe just aren't as sharp to the first batter of the game and an elite hitter like Anthony is just crushing those mistakes, or if he's just Tony and he's in one of his shit white hot streaks. Probably a little from column A and B.
