I really, absolutely, positively HATE this offensive line. Just pathetic.

Thank god Cutler didn't play last night.

O-Line did okay against against Watt and Houston.  That buttsteak Tice somehow needs to find a way to figure this shit out on a weekly basis or this facet of the team will not only be the obstacle that keeps them from winning it all, but will hurt Tice's chances at getting another crack at a head coaching job elsewhere, laughable as that situation may seem in the first place.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

I'm looking for reasons not to panic. Anyone want to add any?

1. The Giants only beat one team with a winning record in the regular season last year. The Bears just need to get in the playoffs and hope that they're good at sports for those 3-4 weeks.

2. The Patriots lost at home to the Cardinals. Ravens lost to the Eagles. Texans needed OT to beat the Chad Henne-helmed Jags at home. Falcons lost to the Saints. The 49ers and Broncos are the only 'good' teams I can see that haven't had at least one turd of a game. Everybody sucks and everybody's awesome at some point in the season.

All of THI. And Arizona almost won the Super Bowl with a 4-12 team a couple years ago.

I'm a moron. I was concentrating on losses and near-losses and somehow overlooked that game full of foeacal matter.

So I guess that leaves the Broncos. Their 3 losses came to the Falcons, Texans and Pats by a total of 22 points.

And I forgot the Packers. Losses to the 49ers, tough-at-home Seahawks and tumor-inspired Colts by a total of just 13 points.

I won't consider the season having gone sideways if they can dispose of Minnesota handily.

But it won't matter unless they can find a way to scheme against the good teams so that they minimize the turd quotient of their O-line.  Somewhat relatedly, Forte's been rather well-preserved this season, considering his $$$...be nice to get him to step up now...is it me or have they thrown a lot less to him out of the backfield this year?  I saw a nice screen play last night and it reminded me that I've seen very few of these this year.

37 targets in 9 games (4.111 per game) so far this season versus 76 in 12 games (6.333 per game) last year.

70/16 (4.375) in 2010, 71/16 (4.4375) in 2009, 77/16 (4.8125) in 2008.

That's gotta be a byproduct of the Marshall acquisition. I believe Marshall is leading the NFL in targets so he's probably sopped up a bunch of pass attempts that were previously checkdowns to Forte after Cutler looked around and couldn't find any open midgets.

But yeah, given that Marshall and Forte (and maybe Fat Alshon if he can stay on the field) are the only legitimate playmakers on this offense (sorry SKO, but Earl's been nonexistent even when healthy this year), I wouldn't mind getting Forte more involved in the passing game.
