Peanut (foot) and Briggs (ankle) looked a step slow too. Chris Conte needs to hurry back. HGH being a helluva drug and what not, there could be some improvement in the back seven this weekend. There will ahve to be. Major Wrong is not our friend.

This a thousand times. If he could make just one tackle, the Bears probably win Sunday.

Or catch one interception.

I'm looking forward to this Vikings game. Interested to see how many times Peanut punches Jared Allen in his tiny balls.

I'm hoping J'Marcus Webb breaks him in two.

Peanut does lineup at tailback in the victory formation. Seems as good a time as any to execute that plan.

I'll be at the game on Sunday, so I'll have better perspective on all of this than you people. I'll have to give my expert opinion to Doug and OB on the way home.

Are you sitting next to BH or Slezak? Or do you have the middle seat?

I'll be sitting next to Dad, so I'll be the guy on TV beating his father after Cutler throws 1 INT after 4 TD passes and he shouts "that's why he's not an NFL quarterback, and the Chicago Bears are about running the ball, anyway."*

*Actual quote from my Dad when Cutler threw his 1 INT in his 4 TD pass upset of the Vikings in 2009 that forced Minnesota to travel to IAN's backyard on their way to the Superbowl.

Maybe next to Joe Cowley, too.

Last time I was in the Metrodome, Brian Urlacher sat out, I was in the Hormel Hot Dog Row of the Game and got a free hot dog, Rex Grossman began to lead the Bears back from a somewhat significant deficit before shredding his knee 60 yards from me, Jonathan Quinn showed he was at least half as well-equipped to complete the comeback as Will Furrer ever was, and I walked out of the depressing cave to a 75-degree sunny day to find out Kerry Wood let the Mets bat around in the first inning en route to a 3-2 loss. More hilarity preceded and followed the event, but, yeah, it sucked. May your time in the Rollerdome be brighter.

Oh man. I remember that game. I always wondered what might have been if Rex hadn't blown out his knee on that touchdown run.  Maybe he'd have been able to develop as a QB without getting his first real reps on a Superbowl contender. They probably would have made the playoffs, since two 8-8 teams made it that year. Either way, that game gave me the sads. I'm going to hope this ends better than that.

I vividly remember my mother being extremely dead during that entire ordeal.
