Oct 1-3: Worst MLB games in 50 years
« on: September 07, 2012, 12:10:08 PM »
When the Cubs and Astros play October 1-3, they will probably each have 100 losses. This will be the first time since the last weekend of 1962 when the Cubs hosted the Mets. Not only are the Cubs hosting the three worst games in MLB history in 50 years, the Monday and Tuesday games are at night, and you have the potential for pretty nasty conditions. Monday's game goes head-to-head with the Tony Romo Memorial Service officiated by Julius Peppers, so not only will no one be in the stands, but few will be watching on TV. The finale is a Wednesday 1:20 start. (Is there a Presidential debate Tuesday night?)

Al Yellon might be the only non-credentialed person in attendance. HISTORY!

Stubhub has nearly 150 sets of tickets available for $5.00 or less on October 1st, including bleacher tickets.

Party like its 1986!

Believe it or not, the thought of seeing that dude up close and talking to him is even less appealing than the Cubs/Astros series.

I'll have to check my schedule, but this is tempting.

This could make the cubs interesting for at least a night

One night of completely unbridled ballbreaking at virtually no cost? It's a total WIN.

The best part about it is if you do it Tuesday, he'll rant about it in his Wednesday roundup and then stew about it for 6 months until the next home opener.

OK, Monday we go to Iowa and stand in front of SKO's TV so he can't watch the Bears. Tuesday we drive Yellon to mainlining grain alcohol E85 gasoline.
