OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

This series revolves around the idea that all electricity disappears around the world without any explanation. It takes place at least partly in Chicago, where some post-apocalyptic survivors pass Wrigley Field. They decided they needed to make it believable enough, so the producers made one alteration in the pilot.

This is that show where everyone's electric guns stop working so they have to use swords, right?

It takes place in Chicago... and South Carolina. So it's right up your alley.

But just remember, the show asks you to suspend belief about physics and other real-life matters, but putting a Chicago Cubs: World Series Champions banner on Wrigley was far too much.

Did they pick Chicago because they wouldn't need to budget too much on set modifications?

If the survivors on the show walk up to strangers and tell them elaborate stories of their past troubles while begging for money, then yes.

You haven't been to many American cities if you think that's Chicago-exclusive.

It's just so authentic to see people get murdered in Chicago.

Because although I love Chicago more than any other city in the world, you get amusingly butthurt if I make about it stupid jokes of similar lameness to those lobbed at Toronto.
