I think they'll win at least 75 games and could push for .500 with another solid move or two.

A healthy Garza and Snork taking the next step...I'm liking this team.

I think this rotation has some promise.

I also think a full season of Rizzo and a continued development of BJax and Castro...add another 30-35 runs to last year's number?  is that reasonable?

BJax is gonna suck.  Soriano and DeJesus are likely gone before July 31.  The offense is going to be putrid.  Well, that's an insult to putrid.  The pitching may keep them from losing 100, but the offense is going to be of a 50 win level if Soriano and DeJesus are traded (the 2012 Cubs full season pace was 49-113 from July 31 on).  I suppose they could get a Rizzo level player back for those guys, i.e. a player who is major league ready now, but I wouldn't count on it.

Now, 2014?  I expect some combination of Baez, Soler, and Almora to be ready.  I also expect big free agent signings that will boost the offensive for 2014.  I already think anything under 81 wins in 2014 would be a disappointment.

If Eli (and the rest of us) want to see fun Cubs, we go to Kane County in 2013.

If Jackson was to be in the Cubs' lineup, why would you put him in left? The one thing he can actually do at an above-average level in the big leagues is play center field. There are always warm bodies you can stick in left.
