And he's a lefthander who doesn't completely suck. Worst case, he's a LOOGY, best case, he's a 3-5 starter once this team is a contender.

Back to this, conventional wisdom would be to slot in Appel or Gray after Samardzija in that second SP slot. But if Kris Bryant keeps hitting like 8 home runs per week, it wouldn't be a total shock to see the Cubs take him if Houston doesn't. That'd leave them free to use Baez as a trade piece for one of the Tampa pitchers.
