I'm getting a robust semi-chub for this Feldman kid.  His WHIP and BAA are much more in line with his solid rookie season two years ago than his numbers last season.

And he has the build of an imposing starting pitcher.  Cause you know.  That matters.  Or something.

Kid?

He's 30.

And was not a rookie two years ago.

Can't a guy enjoy a perfectly good semi-chub anymore without haters throwing cold water on his pants?

So, who was he actually talking about?

Perhaps he was thinking of Travis Wood? Rookie year was 2010. He's 26. And the "kid's" WHIP from 2010 is close to 2013s

The important thing is to have a semi-chub for someone.  Somewhere. Who may or may not be 30, could possibly be a couple of years into an MLB career, and has some sort of stats.

I wouldn't say Wood has "the build of an imposing starting pitcher" though. He's 5' 11" and 175 pounds. Maybe CFiHP is talking Junior League ball.

But Wood has his own personal sploogey fest. So it must be Feldman. From across the hall.

He was talking about Appel.

Or Gray.

On June 15, 2012 the Cubs were 21 and 42.  June 15, 2013 they are 27 and 38.  Discuss.

They're gaining 6 wins per year. So it's 33-32 in 2014 and 39-26 in 2015. Sounds about right.

Sweet Jesus, the Mets are terrible.  What a shame that Marmol is even worse.

Holy shit what a meltdown.  If Marmol is found dead in the next 24 hours, Garza will be the prime suspect.  No judge or jury would convict him.

Has anybody else noticed that Cody Ransom is now batting .286/.386/.662/1.030 for the Cubs, with 5 2B and a Sosa-esque 8HR in just 77AB?

DIS KID IS ONE FOR DA FUTURE MY FRENTS.

Edit: he's actually pretty terrible against righties (except Adam Wainwright, yay) but his line against lefties is .327/.407/.827.  Against southpaws, Cody Ransom is *literally* Barry Bonds.

Also, he's not even the best lefty-killer on the Cubs.  Navarro is batting a chuckle-inducing .556/.652/1.056/1.708 (!) with 10 hits, 5 BB and 3HR in just 18AB.
