Well, it's not irony, if that's what you're fishing for.

The Yankees got shut out by Chris Archer yesterday. Also a coincidence. And fuck Hendry to death.

Have the Cubs ever swept the Giants at AT&T before?

Nosir. Last Cub sweep at San Francisco was in September 1993 at the Stick per PAUL SULLIVAN.

Which begs the question: Has a team coming off of 100 losses ever swept the defending champs in their own building before? I'm just kidding, the question is not begged. Don't look it up. Seriously, you guys are weird. Don't.

Fuck you, I'll do what I want.

Assuming you're talking about "swept the defending champs in their own building" for an entire season -- no, it hasn't. Closest case would be the 1994 Blue Jays who were swept at home by the A's (coming off a 94 loss 1993 campaign). Also of note (but not surprising) are the 1998 and 2004 Marlins who were swept at home by three and two teams (both with 90+ losses) respectively.

So, tempting the internet fates here a bit, what exactly does Chuck think he told us and when did he tell it to us?

Did he at some point accurately predict that Soriano's LF replacements would spur the post-trade Cubs to a 3-game winning streak on the back of a combined 0-for-11 effort at the plate?
Loor and I came acrossks like opatoets.

No, considering the question was only raised, not begged.

Begging the question is an entirely different concept...but whatever.
This is so bad, I'd root for the Orioles over this fucking team, but I can't. Because they're a fucking drug and you can't kick it and they'll never win anything and they'll always suck, but it'll always be sunny at Wrigley and there will be tits and ivy and an old scoreboard and fucking Chads.
