OK A-holes.  It's fixed.  Enjoy the orange links, because I have no fucking idea how to change them.  I basically learned scripting in four days to fix this damned thing. - Andy

The World's End

Eldest Murton and I saw it tonight. We're huge fans of the first two (both boys were walking around the house saying "YARP!" and "SWAN!" just last week).  We were very excited to see this, especially after reading the reviews.

It's very good, but it's the weakest of the Cornetto's (debate in our house over which is #1: SotD vs Fuzz - I say Fuzz, Eldest says Shaun).  The first half is a little slow and not as funny as the first two. It picks up massively in the second half. Nick Frost, I've never seen him better.

There's a scene at the end with Frost and Pegg that's outstanding. Made me feel very sad for my lost youth, especially watching in a theater right near where I grew up, a theater built right around the time I came back to the area.  What it says about nostalgia is terrific.

It's worth seeing but it's just not up there even with the other two. Perhaps our expectations were too high.
