There is still hope that Cutler returns next week, the Bears run the table, finish 10-6, make the playoffs (or don't) and every meatball in the city gets fucked in his or her own face before dying slowly of buttcancer of the mouth.

This is all we have left, our dignity merely a figment of our lame cunt imaginations.

Failing that, Ditka gets his number retired next Monday. I'm pretty pumped for that.

You know you're having a bad coaching day when:

a)  Leslie Frazier outcoaches you.
b)  Lovie Smith and Dave Wannstedt think you're having a bad day.

ps:  Was Trestman going for the rouge in OT?  It's the only reason I can come up with going for a 47-yard field goal in OT.  On second down.

Something Paul.  Something something douche.

no

Well it's what happened last time.

Another Carlos.  Gone.

Silence, Paul. Thou art a Deutschmark.

Trying to cozy up to Ape?

If you are looking for someone to blame for the loss, don't blame Trestman, blame whoever it was who knocked Ponder out of the game.
If I had known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.   (Plagerized from numerous other folks)

I turned off my feed after Walsh's first field goal thinking the game was over. Didn't know about the flag. Didn't know about the rest of the overtime batshittedness until about one minute ago. I was satisfied enough with my belief that poor tackling and missed throws by the backup quarterback had cost them the game. I had already dealt with my depression and moved on, go Heat and all that. Robbie really missed a 47-yarder indoors? On second down?

Now I don't know if I want to live in this world. May take a vacation to Norway or something.

I've heard Bøttpøddle's nice this time of year.

It isn't

I'm disappointed in Trestman. I thought he was going to be the coolly analytical meatball anti-matter that this town needed after years of Ditka orangeface Wanny aaaapppp Russ Grimm I'm a meatandpotatas Lovie beating  the Packers is my #1 goal. Then he runs up the middle TWICE on 2nd and 3rd & 1 when the Bears have shown no indication of converting in short yardage. Then the panic move of kicking on 2nd down just because something weird happened to the Vikings earlier. That's not the Marc that's made my slacks swell this season. Boourns.

For the record, Yeti, I ain't checked out. I was at this goddamn shitstain of a game. I like Trestman a lot as a coach on a macro level. I like his systems, I like his approach, I like the way his players respond to him. I want to believe, in the long run, with better luck, that this will all work out.

But if he keeps playing things by his emotions, be it "well I'm going to run it up the gut on a 2 pt conversion against the Lions despite us having gained 38 rushing yards on 20 fucking carries because HURR I BELIEVE IN OUR GUYS" and now "I was scared of a penalty like what happened against the Vikings happening to us on the next fucking series even though we've been penalized once on offense all fucking game"...he'll end up like Norv Turner, always managing to find some way to undo all of the good he's done with a fucking stupid ass decision in a big moment. Meatball or no, sometimes football games are won and lost on decisions by head coaches, and he's fucked up several lately. It's discouraging, but hopefully he'll learn from it.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015
