This thread is certainly where a guy like me envies the rest of you - as the result of my allergies to things fermented I can't drink beer without suffering severe swelling in my sinuses. So the only time I get to enjoy beer is when my wife is out of town, which really is basically making chicken salad out of chicken shit, since I like my wife more than I like beer.

So while this weekend I'm having a La Trappe Tripel or a Samuel Smith's Chocolate Stout, next weekend I'm back to sacrificing one love for another.

So when you gentlemen drink, remember - you're drinking for those of us who can't.

That's it. Carry on.

After my night last night, then, you don't need to worry about drinking for at least a month.  It's taken care of.  You're welcome.

Been there a few times not too long after it opened, and I don't remember the beer list being that good. It was good, but not "make a list" good. They did have a lot of whiskeys though. And the food was alright.

But that was a long time ago and they have a new chef that's an acquaintance of mine. He's really into beer so maybe the food and beer have improved since he took over.

DPD. It was cool to see the Heorot in Muncie make the list. That's one of a handful of good things about Muncie.

I've never been to any of those places, chiz chiz.  As it goes, I'm not short of good beer bars around here but I must admit, I wish I could get hold of more American beer.  For beginners, you plucky little Yanks are doing not badly, you know?

Pex - regularly hear amazing things about Fountainhead's beer selection. Hit it up ASAP. I need to get over there, myself.
