I watched most of England-Italy, Japan-Ivory Coast, and France-Honduras and thought "this is less stupid and boring than usual" and sure enough there were numbers and stuff saying this was the highest scoring world cup since 1958 so far.

What eventually got me into the sport despite being that dude in high school who hated soccer the most was the passion of everyone involved.

Once you see all that going on it's hard not to climb aboard.
