I find myself losing the dialogue in the accents and the cadence. I often turn the captions on.  Pretty cool stuff so far.

We always watch with captions because my wife isn't hip to some colloquialisms. I'm used to it and don't mind. It helps in shows with strong accents.

You guys cannot be serious.
Can you help me live a little more?  I expect good news.

My wife has had to do that with certain British shows where characters have heavy Cockney accents. Hell, any interview on American TV with Noel Gallagher has subtitles.

I used to watch shows with captions when I lived at my parents' house because they'd bitch at me for having the TV too loud. When I moved out, I had to break myself of the habit, because I noticed that I kind of preferred having the text on the screen. Now, I just blare the TV at the top volume.

Fun thing about shows now - when they reach a certain critical mass of popularity people of the internet begin to turn on it.

They were more upset about the volume than the amount of prepubescent girls?

I'm pretty sure the moment the use of fire became widespread in the Paleolithic, people started bitching about how it was easy to burn yourself and raw food was just better anyway.

Episode 7 is catching some flak online from critics who had previously knelt before this show's alter. I don't understand that. I thought it was terrific. I have very little complaint about this show from start to finish. Can't wait to see how it ends, but dread seeing it end.

Finally saw it last night and loved it. *loved* this episode. AV Club gave it a C? That's fucked up and wrong.

The people who were shouting "Marty did it!" or "Rust did it!" are idiots. Also people who think something mystical or supernatural is going to happen in the finale are idiots.

LOST has ruined TV for people.
