I really can't believe that unless the ghost of Johnny Bench resides at Principal Park and mind melds with the catchers that Schwarber can really be that much better off (to the point that it outweighs the obvious value of keeping him on the big league roster) catching every day in Iowa vs getting 1 or 2 starts a week at catcher and some left field starts in the bigs. If David Ross is such a great leader and mentor he can prove his worth by working with Kyle everyday behind the scenes.

And sure, Schwarber would probably have some passed balls and other fuckups while catching on those days but hell if we're trying to argue that Ross' framing is good enough to outweigh his godawful bat I don't see how the reverse can't be true for Schwarber. He'd contribute enough offensively to outweigh his defensive issues.
