I think Rose should continue shooting basketballs. I am enjoying this season as much as anyone but I don't see them winning a chammenship with something less than pre-injury Rose. And the only way that's going to happen is for him to continue running and jumping and shooting and passing.

Agreed. He's making 3's at a significantly lower percentage (26%) than his already not-good career mark of 31%, and he's shooting more of them than he did before. He's just a shade under his career percentage on 2's, but he's shooting quite a bit less of them. We're still only 25 games into his return. My hope (possibly misguided) is that once he gets to 50 games or so, he'll be back to form and will trade some of those line drive 3 attempts for nasty drives to the rim. If that happens then this team could be terrifying.

Yeah, there's absolutely no reason for him to be taking over 5 a game. He's getting questions about it and says he needs to "keep defenses honest," which doesn't actually make sense. Defenses will just honestly sit there and let him shoot threes. Tony Parker is probably 45 years old and still gets to the rim whenever he wants, and he's never had to shoot threes for the sake of doing it.

But let's not let this distract from the general awesomeness that is this year's team.

Gordon Hayward of the Jazz is a Butler guy so I rarely root against Utah. I think I'm just going to enjoy some NBA action regardless of the outcome. If the home fans are happy and excited, all the better I guess.
