I know you can take (plastic-) bottled water into Wrigley, and not booze, but what about food?  If I take a bag of Crackerjack with me, will they take it off me?  What about sandwiches?  I know Huey crams Bacci slices into his fanny pack, but I don't know whether he's doing that legally, or sneaking into the ballpark hoping that the pepperoni-sniffer dogs are at another gate that day.

Pretty sure you can get a bologna sandwich in.

Thanks for your help.

Seriously, score burritos from the place just east of the el and take those in. You will be crowned as a hero.

We've discussed this.  They don't use cilantro in their burritos.  What the actual fuck?

I like cilantro and understand there are many who don't but how is cilantro a burrito deal breaker?

Actual Mexicans put cilantro in fucking everything.  If I'm eating Mexican food, there had better be cilantro involved.
Your toilet's broken, Dave, but I fixed it.

I like cilantro as well and would ask for it to be added were it an option but I would in no way expect it to be a default topping on a burrito. We all live closer to Mexico than Tonk does so his opinion is clearly invalid.

But burritos are a Bay Area invention. We probably shouldn't even be talking about eating them with the Giants in town. Might as well be putting ketchup on a hot dog.

Did you have a burger with a hot dog on it?

I had a burger with a hot dog on it - it's Flub-a-dub-chub's thing - but I can't for the life of me remember what Yeti had, so he lives to fight another day.

I remember the lady behind the counter scoffing. I'm a child

If only RV possessed a similar capacity for shame...

I only feel ketchup-related shame on behalf of the restaurants that don't carry Trader Joe's catsup.

I just bought, on Stubhub, four tickets together in section 116, row 5... for $56.  That's $56 all in, not each.  All the other tickets in that section are going for ninety-odd each.

QuoteMilwaukee Brewers at Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, Chicago, IL
Wed, 08/12/2015, 7:05 p.m. CDT
(Event time subject to change - Check local listings)
Infield Field Box 116 | 4 tickets
Row 5 | Seats will be together
Order total:   $56.12 USD

What the hell?  Does bought on Stubhub mean bought, or can the seller welch?  This seems way, way too good to be true.

EDIT: I now have the tickets.  They're real, right?  Jesus Christ.

I'm guessing someone clicked a wrong button.  Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.  Enjoy the game!

Tonker is clearly good luck and is not allowed to go back to Australia.

I'd gladly put him and his brood up for awhile.
May have to break into the emergency stockpile of Vegemite though

Meh.  It was okay, I guess.

Actually, I was sitting next to two old Chicago girls, both retired and with nothing better to do than use their full season tickets.  They were an absolute blast.  Bruce Miles is a really, really fucking nice bloke, too, you won't be surprised to hear.

I'd gladly welcome the Tonks, if only because I'd probably enjoy an endless supply of LFork's pecan pie.

Thinking about heading down to Comiskular this afternoon.  Anything I need to know?

Redline to Sox-35th.  The Cuban sandwich stand is pretty good. Lots of places for the kids to play, including misters /shower.  Upper level isn't as bad as it used to be, but I would suggest 100 level seats.
Andre Dawson paid his $1,000 fine for the Joe West incident with style. Dawson wrote ``Donation for the blind`` in the memo section of his personal check.

Hmm... I had a feeling that might be the case.  There are four tickets right behind home, ninth row of the upper deck, only $33 each (which is definitely under par) but I don't want to take the kids up there if it's going to be dodgy.  I think we'll be priced out of the 100-level, though.

Sausages inside the ballpark are very good. It should be a heavy Cubs crowd, but the Sox lifers will be in force, trying to shit-stir. You should be able to handle them, and I'm not sure what the average Ligue would do with the Tonks.

Day game--you'll be fine.  Just get the hell out of there afterwards as it'll be after 6 PM and then it will start to get dodgy.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.
