To be fair to CFIHP you're not telling the whole story. You left out the part where he also said Theo should have signed Francisco Liriano instead.

I also enjoy "given that Cy Scherzer could have been had" as though the extra 70 million he would have cost is nothing, and not, like, the cost of the entire Zobrist deal and a year of Lackey combined.

Oh I don't mind hot takes, I've fired off more than a few in my day, you can re-read this thread and find several of us screaming WHY WONT HE JUST THROW TO FIRST. I think the difference is more that CFIHP v Lester was a continued pattern of confirmation-bias fueled Chuckian trolling where he'd disappear for months at a time only to pop up after the occasional Lester stinker to tell us why he was DOOMED. That kinda bad faith fan-ing deserves scorn.
