Bartolo Colon's double is the greatest thing I've seen in ages. David Ross probably gets an inside the park home run on that. Dan Vogelbach is at least taking a hard turn around 3rd on a standup triple. Bartolo just says "aww fuck it" after he rounds first.

Not sure about this year, but in 2010, Mark Reynolds had 32 homers on 99 hits (32.3%)

In 2012, Adam Dunn had 41 homers on 110 hits (37.2%) 
In 2008, before he got traded to Arizona, he had 32 homers on 87 hits with the Reds (36.8%)

Yeah, he's not on that level.  But 68 Ks in 128 ABs in 2013 will always be in my Hall of Fame.

He ran hard to second, and then cruised the rest of the way.  Billy Hamilton scares the bejesus out of me as a runner.  They should save everybody time and trouble and just award him third every time he gets on base.

Seems kind of a weird move to call up a top prospect straight from AA as a two week injury replacement, especially when his Javy-like K Rate (33.6% this year, 33.9% in the minors overall) seems to indicate he won't exactly adapt quickly.

Seems kind of a weird move to call up a top prospect straight from AA as a two week injury replacement, especially when his Javy-like K Rate (33.6% this year, 33.9% in the minors overall) seems to indicate he won't exactly adapt quickly.

I think it's more like a two-week tryout. And it may serve as a wake up call if they feel Gallo has been resting on his laurels even a little bit.
