I think there's also the aspect of them losing players before and still being able to win games. The mayor doesn't push these guys to win games they shouldn't win like Thibs did.

I think there's also the aspect of them losing players before and still being able to win games. The mayor doesn't push these guys to win games they shouldn't win like Thibs did.

For all the good that did them, I can see why they'd be reluctant to keep up that intensity now. There was a certain sense of pride they took in winning all those meaningless games and being stroked by national pundits as possible foils for the conference elite. Come playoff time they were too tired and broken to compete. They're over it.
