What's with all this pity? Sounds like an awful lot of bullshit toleration and I for one will not stand for it. Gon' hate me some Pirates.

I'm good for hatin while the hatin is good. I can't hate Andrew McCutchen, though. That guy fucking rules. The rest of 'em can take it somewhere else of that's how younger about it.

Yeah, he's cool. The rest of them though? Hate. (Okay, Aramis gets a pass too.)

Aramis is no longer a Pirate as of today basically so we're good there. Neil Walker is also probably gone but my hatred will follow him wherever he goes.

I'm not sure I hate Marte or Polanco yet, either.  And, if Pissburgh thinks Cole sucks, I'd take him on The Cubs in a minute.

Otherwise, fuck 'em all.

How could we hate Gregory?

How can you watch this gif and not think that God is a Cub fan?

I think a handful players doesn't make an organization. As far as rebuilding models go, the Pirates are admirable in their success. They've also got a lot of young players who would be extremely easy to like if they were in a Cubs uniform. That said, I hope each game next year is intense and heated, if only because it'll give Cubs players something to play for over the long 162 game stretch.

It takes effort to not actively like that guy, but I'm willing to put in the work.

Given the depth of their pitching, I'm really happy the Cubs had to just beat them once.

It was a 22 year plan.

So, they basically halved the Cubs rebuilding plan that was realized by Dallas Green?

Kind of, except their World Series drought will be 37 years next year, so they're approaching Dallas Green territory. We can call the 1990-1992 Pirates their version of the Cubs' Durocher years.

I can't remember exactly who said that this and the Tards series would be about putting the boot on the neck, but as to the Pirates...THEY'RE DONE!!! Now let's sweep the mouthbreathers and do the same to them.

I really enjoyed the Cubs wrecking Taillon's shit. He was the Pirates last great hope, their rookie savior. That game was the baseball equivalent of a horror movie where the victim empties the entire pistol at the monster charging them, then chucks the gun at them in desperation before they get eaten anyway.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015
