An anagram for Ben Zobrist is BRONZE BITS which I assume Ben has chunks of in his stool.
Just a sloppy, undisciplined team.  Garbage.

In his last 22 games, he's got a hit in 21 of them. The one game in which he didn't get a hit was game 2 of the SD Doubleheader where he didn't come in until the 8th inning. He still got a hit that day, so 21 consecutive baseball days with a hit. During this stretch, .438/.515/.688/1.203 slash line. He's decent.

So, here's a thing.  Anybody want to guess who had the highest bWAR in the whole AL in 2011, and yet finished 16th in the MVP poll, with just 2% of the vote and seven points?

Is it just me that didn't know this?

Yep. Even if you expand the timeframe to 2009-current, he's still 4th. Or 5th if you want to include pitchers.

Yeah, I just took out 2015 because it was a pretty injury-riddled year for him.

He's been atrocious the last 6 weeks...a .311 OBP since June 1 ain't cutting it.

By comparison, the justly-maligned Jason Heyward has been getting on base at a .370 clip in that same time frame.

He had a really bad stretch to start the season too. Maybe he's just streaky. Maybe he and Heyward both need to move down. Maybe Javy needs more playing time so old man Zobrist can rest more.

Is World Series MVP good?
You two wanna go stick your wangs in a hornet's nest, it's a free country.  But how come I always gotta get sloppy seconds, huh?

My son in Tokyo just Facetimed me.  He knew the final score, but nothing else about the game.  He told me not to tell him anything about it.  All I told him was that he would never guess who turned out to be the hero of the game.
If I had known that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.   (Plagerized from numerous other folks)

Now that I think about it, I can't honestly say that there was only one hero.  Zobrist?  Sure.  Schwarber? Sure.  Bryant?  Sure.  Baez, (especially for defense)? Sure.  Hendricks?  Sure.  The whole damn team...?   Don't mind me.  I am still giddy.

8 runs scored, each one driven in by a different hitter. That's something.
I will vow, for the sake of peace, not to complain about David Ross between now and his first start next year- 10/26/2015

I'm going to hazard a guess that no previous World Series game has ever seen 3 different catchers drive in runs for one team.
