Per Flight Aware, plane still on the ground. Per Google it departed at 10:11 MDT.

They aren't on a charter like Signature? Flying United?

Not sure who owns or crews it (my guess its United), but its a dedicated Cubs jet flying United livery  (note the flight schedule http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL2504#flightPageActivityLog)
Andre Dawson paid his $1,000 fine for the Joe West incident with style. Dawson wrote ``Donation for the blind`` in the memo section of his personal check.

What is interesting is that American signed a big sponsorship deal with the Cubs, and you would think they would be flying the team.

American canceled charter agreements with six NFL teams this season due to lack of available aircraft. Maintaining availability for an MLB team and its extremely demanding travel needs is, I imagine, quite a bit more difficult.

Maybe we can get Al to dig into who owns the charter.
I can't believe I even know these people. I'm ashamed of my internet life.

Let's also ask him what's the team's record when Pat leaves a growler in the forward lav instead of the aft lav. Actually, I bet he already knows.

Most Part 135 operators don't have the kind of aircraft it takes to ferry major league (and major collegiate) sports teams around because operating those is expensive. Signature might be able to refer you to an operator with a 20-seat business jet but anything larger than that is rare. You need transport-category aircraft, which means you're dealing with the airlines' side businesses. The only times I've flown on a sports charter, they were either United planes or an independent operator's Dornier 328JET.

It's not just the passengers, there's also a fuckload of equipment.

No.
Although any thread in "Mom's Basement" could qualify.
