He's trying to get laid by women other than Kelly by becoming a photographer/poet who drinks martinis and wears pretentious scarves, hats and cardigans.

I think he's supposed to be trying to dress pretentiously artsy and too-hip-for-Scranton.

I rewound Andy's "ruh duh duh doo" (after he kisses Erin) about five times and laughed just as hard as the first time.  And, when Erin hid his sales leads under her keyboard and played hot/cold, I laughed like a retard.  I find those two to be comedy gold.
